Tours

We provide tours of the old city of Le Puy by focusing on the places that are important to the Sisters of St. Joseph. A typical tour includes the following:

• The Kitchen
• The Living History Centre *
• The Tree (2 or 3 sisters were guillotined here during the French Revolution)
• College du Église (Fr. Medaille preached in this church)
• The Jesuit Rectory (Fr. Medaille slept here)
• Martine's Lace Shop

We also take our guests to Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Michel.

* Please note that the Living History Centre has an entrance fee of 5 Euros, which helps to maintain our digital equipment there.

Some groups and programs go to Lyon for a day trip to places pertinent to Mother St. John Fontbonne. These sites include her gravesite and the Origin and Evoluiton Centre of the Lyon Congregation. Lunch takes place in Old Lyon followed by a trek to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière which overlooks the city.
