We had a little excitement one sunny Friday afternoon in June when the sheep escaped their pasture due to a weakness of the fence that encloses them. We had to chase the sheep back into pasture. Then we put some sturdy lawn chairs against the sagging fence to reinforce it. We were too occupied to take any photos or videos, but we surely looked pretty funny trying to round them up. At one point, Eluiza called the shepherd while I coaxed the last baby sheep into pasture. The baby was scared and his mother was bleating for him, but she clearly didn’t know what to do. Eventually the baby found a place on the fence low enough that he could leap over it. A few days later, the shepherd took the four sheep (two mamas and two babies) back to his farm. We await their return next May.
